2020 has been special in many ways. While also the world of advanced materials was obviously impacted, the appetite of innovative companies to explore new technologies didn’t fade but merely slowed down a bit.
The pandemic also created new opportunities for advanced material applications. More specifically, The Venturi Tribe, acted swiftly in helping build the supply chain to bring to market mouth masks. A process that quickly takes a year turned out to be possible in a matter of a month. Great to have experienced how quick a development can go when all stakeholders want it and need it NOW. If we could replicate this mindset in order to combat climate change, the future would look a lot brighter!
Apart from the above example, we have continued our close collaborations with our technology partners. These collaborations have resulted in the validation of their technologies in many new applications. In several of these applications The Venturi Tribe identified the most suited partners to co-develop solutions with and bring to market.
