Context
The Venturi Tribe partners with a scale-up with in-depth expertise in the development and production of high-end and complex emulsions. They have succeeded in emulsifying high viscosity liquids that were for a long time only available as solvent-based solutions.
Furthermore, they developed a range of bio emulsions (vegetable wax, hydrogenated triglycerides, esters, …) which are highly stable over time which has been a long standing challenge.
The main sustainability drivers are two-fold:
- Replacing fossil fuel-based paraffin wax emulsions by bio-based emulsions
- Eliminating the use of Volatile Organic Components (VOCs) in the use of high viscosity liquids
Involvement
We develop the European and US market in applications where the sustainable character on one hand and the VOC free properties on the other hand play a differentiating role. Evaluations are ongoing in the following applications: wood, food packaging, construction, cosmetics, chemical and textile industries.
